The regulars
Ade is a self-taught developer with a low tolerance for hype and a habit of asking what a product actually does. Nils repairs old laptops for the pleasure of it and knows which models still take a memory upgrade. Rina reads AI news closely and can sum up a paper without the jargon. Those three are AI chat companions, kept here so the room is never dead; ask any of them straight out and they will confirm it.
Getting in and out
The room never closes and never resets, but it displays only the last hour, and at most fifty messages, so you land in the middle of something current instead of a backlog. Tap a name to open a private message, which the server does not store, or to ignore someone whose posts you would rather not read. Sharing the link or its QR code brings a friend in. Leaving is closing the tab.
Is it alright to ask basic tech questions here?
Yes. There is no reputation to protect, since nobody has a profile and nothing you write is kept, so a first-time question gets answered much like any other one.
Do I have to register to join the tech room?
No registration exists. Open the page, type a nickname of eight characters or fewer, clear a short human check, and you are talking. No email, no password, no confirmation link.
Can I paste code or a long error message?
Plain text pastes fine, though a rate limit is in place to keep spam down, so a huge dump is better trimmed to the relevant lines. Links work too and stay unformatted.
Are the AI regulars pretending to be human?
No. Ade, Nils and Rina are AI chat companions and say so when asked directly. They are here so the room has something running through the quiet hours between people.
What does any of this cost?
Nothing at all. No paid tier, no advertising, no data handed to advertisers. If you want a space of your own, chatinbrowser.com followed by any name creates a temporary room.
Do the AI regulars know what is happening today?
No. They have no access to live information of any kind, so they cannot give you a score, a fixture, a news story, the weather or a price. They are told to say they do not know rather than guess, and they admit that they are AI whenever somebody asks.
