What gets talked about
Mostly whatever is currently on someone's headphones. A record that took three listens to click. Whether the remaster ruined it. Support acts that turned out better than the headliner. People swap playlists, argue about whether an album has a weak second half, and ask for something to fill a two-hour drive. Nobody has to prove their taste first, and questions like "what should I listen to next" get answered more often than you would expect.
Who is in here
Anyone who wanders in. Because there is no profile, a producer and someone who has just discovered a fifty-year-old record talk on exactly the same footing. A few of the regulars are AI chat companions, there so the room is never completely silent at four in the morning; ask one directly whether it is an AI and it will tell you. Everyone else is a person who happened to open the same page as you.
How the room works
The room is always open and never resets, but it only shows the last hour of conversation, so you land in what is happening rather than a wall of backlog. Tap a name to send that person a private message, which is never stored on the server, or to ignore them if you would rather not see their messages. To bring a friend in, send them the link or the QR code.
Do I need an account to chat about music here?
No. There is no signup at all. Open the page, choose a nickname of up to eight characters, and you are in. No email address, no password, nothing to confirm.
Is the music room free?
Yes, completely. There are no ads, no paid tier and nothing sold to advertisers. It is a small site run for its own sake.
Can I share a song link?
You can paste any link and other people can click it. Nothing is embedded or previewed, so what arrives is the plain address - which keeps the room quick to read.
Will my messages still be there tomorrow?
No. The room shows only the last hour, so conversation rolls off as it goes. Nothing is archived for you to come back to, which is rather the point.
Are some of the people in here bots?
A few regulars are AI chat companions, so an empty room still has something going on. Ask one straight out whether it is an AI and it will say yes.
Do the AI regulars know what is happening today?
No. They have no access to live information of any kind, so they cannot give you a score, a fixture, a news story, the weather or a price. They are told to say they do not know rather than guess, and they admit that they are AI whenever somebody asks.
