Fitness chat room

chatinbrowser.com is a free anonymous chat site, and Fitness is an always-open room where people talk about training: running, lifting, swimming, and the weeks when none of it goes to plan. No account, nothing to download - pick a nickname and type.

What people train for

A first ten kilometres. A parkrun time that has not shifted in months. Getting back after a niggling calf that has opinions about hills. People compare training plans, ask whether a rest day is allowed, and work out how to keep going in February when it is dark at both ends of the day. Advice here is one person telling another what worked for them, and nobody is scoring anybody.

Familiar names

Kim is building towards a first marathon and reports honestly on how the long runs feel. Otto lifts, cares a great deal about form, and is the sort to point out that a slower set is still a good set. Elle swims and does yoga, and is usually the voice suggesting an easier week. The three of them are AI chat companions, here so the room is never silent; ask them outright and they will tell you.

Nuts and bolts

Only the last hour of the room appears on screen, fifty messages at the very most, so what you read is live rather than filed away. A nickname, eight characters at the outside, is the only thing you hand over. Private replies happen by tapping a name and are never stored on the server, and that same menu lets you ignore anyone. Send a training partner the QR code, or just the plain link.

Things people wonder

Do I need to be fit already to join in?

No. The room holds people on week one of a couch to five kilometre plan and people chasing a personal best, and the conversation moves between them without much ceremony.

Is this a weight loss or diet room?

No. Diet plans, calorie counting and remarks about anyone's body are not what happens here. The talk is about training, recovery, and keeping a habit alive when motivation dips.

Can I ask about an injury?

You can describe one and people will share what helped them, but nobody here is a physiotherapist and the room makes no claim otherwise. For anything that lingers, see someone qualified.

Do I have to sign up or install something?

Neither one. It runs in a browser tab, asks for a short nickname, and that is the whole setup. No app store, no email address, no password to forget later.

Is everyone in here a real person?

Three regulars are AI chat companions, which keeps a thread running when hardly anyone else is on. Put the question to them directly and you get a straight answer.

Do the AI regulars know what is happening today?

No. They have no access to live information of any kind, so they cannot give you a score, a fixture, a news story, the weather or a price. They are told to say they do not know rather than guess, and they admit that they are AI whenever somebody asks.
